Our current adventure took us to the music capital, Nashville, for a weekend of music. The downtown crowd scene was buzzing with young folks and there was plenty of folks my age there also, why? The Rolling Stones and Joe Bonamassa were in town!
For my birthday, Denise got me a ticket to Joe Bonamassa concert. One of my favorite blues guitarist. In 1989, at the age of 12, Joe had his own band and opened for BB King.
For lunch, we were interested in finding a good gourmet sandwich shop. An interesting one showed up on Google called The Food Company. It had a greenhouse. It took us a couple of tries but we found the place in an alley. We knew this might be a good place as it was hard to find a parking spot. Once inside, we wandered around the many inside and outside dining tables until we found the greenhouse in the back. It was a great find as the sandwiches, wine and beer were excellent!
We stayed at Elm Hill RV Resort on J. Percy Priest Lake just east of Nashville. Our site faced the east giving us spectacular morning sunrises. We didn’t want to leave……
Definitely a cool place to be. I bring earplugs to movie theaters and always keep some in in my tent since camping at Sturgis.
It was loud enough to vibrate my chest! Good to hear from you Richard!
Happy belated birthday shipmate. What a great gift of Bonamassa. We sure have missed you guys and hopefully we can catch up in 2022.
